Since joining the league in 2003, the Cannons have become a premier American Legion program in the United States.

Offseason Winter Workout Program
Summer Season Teams:
Sr Cannons: Age 15-19 (35-45 games/summer)
Junior Cannons 13-16u (30-35 games/summer)All inclusive trip to the Bob Cene Memorial Tournament in Youngstown, Ohio.
Fall Showcase and Travel Teams:
Cannons Players have also been a part of the VT Showcase League which involves travel across New England to play on College campuses and to gain exposure from D1, D2 & D3 colleges and universities. To date, dozens of Cannons players have gone on to play at the collegiate level.

We’ve competed in tournaments in; Anchorage, AK; Mystic, CT; Honolulu, HI; Las Vegas, NV; Omaha, NE; Nashville, TN; Providence, RI; Rapid City, SD (3 trips); Florence, KY; and Myrtle Beach, SC.
Unlike many for-profit showcase travel teams, American Legion baseball is designed to be affordable and enhance communities. The Cannons program offers a low-cost, high-gain development program on all fronts. Our player fee is ‘all inclusive.’ Players experience no extra costs travel, lodging or meal costs on our tournament trips. Our innovative fundraising program keeps player costs extremely low and player benefits very high.
Our program prides itself in the ‘Cannons Family’ mentality. Support, camaraderie, education and high quality instructional programs are in our DNA.
Our typical Senior Cannons season includes ~24 legion games (not including the state tournament), as well as 8-12 additional non-league games, played from mid-June through early August.
Cutting Edge Technology Is Embedded in Our Training
Along with videography and up-to-date training equipment, we integrated the Rapsodo data performance and analytics program into our instruction in 2020. Video, statistical tracking with Gamechanger, radar guns, and updated equipment help us enhance our coaches ability to improve player performance.
2023 Highlights
Both teams traveled to multiple tournaments this summer while also playing a competitive schedule locally.
Sr Cannons competed in the Bob Cene Memorial Tournament in Youngstown, Ohio. The Seniors made it to the semifinal round before play was suspended due to weather.
The Junior Cannons traveled to multiple tournaments throughout New York and competed against top-regional talent.
Several Cannons were selected for the Lynn Invitational in Lynn, Massachusetts. The premier showcase spans three days and has had hundreds of collegiate and professional players attend in years past. Malaka Callahan, Matai Callahan and Eric Hernandez Jr were all invited in August.

Cannons partner with Mountain Trail Crossfit!
The Colchester Cannons organization has partnered with Mountain Trail CrossFit out of Colchester, Vermont.
In an effort to provide strength and conditioning to our players prior to the 2023 season, our players will receive training sessions twice per week, at no additional cost to the players!
