Cannons Family. The Cannons Experience.

Building a storied and well respected program takes time.

We take great pride in building young boys into men and into a true definition and understanding of ‘citizenship.’ We train well, compete, commit to community service and leadership by example.

We take the cost of youth sports very seriously and subscribe to the creed that it should be an affordable experience. Our comprehensive fundraising program and the opportunities it provides our players is legendary in the annals of youth and Legion baseball.

Our season play, player gear, numerous team dinners and our trips are “all inclusive,” meaning there are no additional costs for players as they move through the season. Gear, flights, lodging and team meals are all included in our player fee.

Players in financial need have the ability to work for the program to earn their tuition money. We also understand the spirit of American Legion baseball and its approach to hardship and financial struggle. We have given numerous scholarships to players over the years so they can participate in Cannons baseball.

The Games We Play

We play between 25 and 50 games depending on the season and team construct. We play in the Northern league in Vermont and in the State Tournament.

We Travel. We Play Great Teams. We Educate.

Our players have competed in highly competitive tournaments in Alaska, Canada, Cape Cod, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota (3 times) and Tennessee.

On trips we routinely play against the best competition in America like Eden Prairie MN, Rapid City South Dakota, De Pere Wisconsin, Las Vegas Nevada, Missoula Montana and many, many more.

Our trips include educational opportunities as well. We’ve visited buffalo ranches, Mt. Rushmore, Hoover Dam, sailed in Providence, fished and hiked in Alaska, visited Pearl Harbor and hiked a volcano on Hawaii and toured historic places throughout Canada just to name a few.

Cutting Edge Technology Is Embedded in Our Training

Along with videography and up-to-date training equipment, we integrated the Rapsodo data performance and analytics program into our instruction in 2020. Video, statistical tracking with Gamechanger, radar guns, and updated equipment help us enhance our coaches ability to improve player performance.

Parents and Guardians Help Us Build Our Community. We Lead By Example.

We take great pride in our fans traveling to tournaments and helping us build an incredible program for youth.

Our parents and guardians routinely team up to share and reduce expenses on our road trips. Watching our kids play all season is one of the great and fleeting spices of life.

Many hands make light work. We take great pride in our facility and our partnership with Colchester High School to build and maintain a stellar playing facility. Many parents choose to help with our field maintenance. Participation always sets a great example for our young players.

Getting together at families houses helps us all. We foot the bill for parents to host team dinners.

Ride sharing amongst parents helps you get there. Seeing your son score his first run in the Cannons program = priceless.
